error: no capture driver in system

Post by fshfind »

I am at my wits end! I cannot figure out what the problem is. I am using the U-lead DVD Movie Factory 3.5 Suite Deluxe and keep getting the error that there is no capture driver available in the system, but when I go to the device manager it tells me it is there and is working properly and is updated. I have gone to Best Buy, and another computer store to try to figure out what is wrong. Please help! :x

Do you have your capture device connected and switched on when this error occurs?

More details please.

This tends to happen when your device is not plugged in or powered up. Does WIN OS recognize the device when you switch it on?

Which version of MF? Can you capture with other programs like Windows MovieMaker? Which capture plugin did you select?

You can capture with any capture program. Once the files are on your system you can use MF to finish your creation. Just import the files as video from your HDD.
