Always disabled apply button on Audio Mixing Panel

Post by ccblue »

I've tried to make adjustments using the Audio Mixing Panel, but nothing is ever saved. The apply button is always greyed out (disabled), I'm guessing that is why nothing saves.

I've tried changing my project settings, I've tried importing different types of files. It doesn't seem to matter.

Does anyone know if there is some criteria that will enable this button?

The APPLY button is intended to apply new adjustments made in the VOLUME FADER and PAN/BALANCE controls to the timeline audio tracks.

I have the same problem : the settings I made to the audio mix panel are not kept, even when I save the project file.
The apply button is never active.
I cannot render any panning sound

Same problem... I gave up on MSP surround a long time ago.... couldn't figure out how to get the applied changes to stick. I can get the button to go active, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.... the changes are STILL not saved.

IMO... the MSP panning system is a little cumbersome to deal with when compared to other programs anyway.... and my BIG wish is that Ulead re-designs it.

Before making any change to a channel, you MUST click the appropriate "pencil" icon. This will solidify the check apply icon.

Sorry, but it's pretty obvious if you read p 141 of the manual and, above all, paragraphs 4 and 5 under "Modifying volume in real time" on p. 143!!!

Devil,

How can I apply the same "static" surround effect (Pan/volume) for all tracks within a project without having to preview all my project (30 minutes).
e.g. : Track1 representing Front left speaker with the same level during all my project.
Track 2 for front right speaker.
etc...

In other word I do not want/need to edit the surround effects in real time while previewing my project, but just need to apply the same settings for all my project in one shot.

Any ideas ?
Thanks a lot

Not too sure, but have you tried using 'groups' ?
In the Audio Mixing Panel window : select Options > Grouping Tree. Hold down the Ctrl key while selecting the required tracks you wish to group.
