I need help with getting deleted stuff back on my computer..

I didn't know where this goes so I put it here.

Ok, I have a second hard drive in my computer and I have been doing the PC INSPECTOR™ smart recovery system scan for TWO DAYS, just for my BMP pictures.

Is there anyway to make this go faster?

Also the program only supports these files:
.jpg, .amr, .tif, .bmp, .gif, Canon .crw , Fuji .raf , RICOH .raw, Olympus .orf (E-XX), Olympus .orf (C5050), Nokia 3gp, Kodak .dcr, Minolta .mrw, Nikon .nef (D1H/D1X), Nikon .nef (D2H/D2X), Nikon .nef (E5000/E5700), Sigma - Foveon .x3f, mp4, QuickTime .mov (Konica Minolta). Video files in .avi, QuickTime .mov format and audio files in .wav, .dss format can also be recovered.

I also need to get Word Documents, Notepad Documents, Wordpad Documents, I also have pictures in JPEG files as well. Is it the same as JPG?

The videos I made and I want to get back are actually named .AVI so this is perfect! The rest I can just reupload from my DVDs. However I am worried about the other files I listed above.

So anyone else can help please let me know!

This really isn't the right forum for your post.

However, if it's taken two days so far, something is not right. There are plenty of freeware file recovery programs out there, and by the looks of it, PC Inspector doesn't add much functionality to those. You should check your pc for adware and spyware - run something like the freeware Spybot SD.

When you delete files, they normally go to the "recycle bin". If you then empty the recycle bin, they're deleted - but in fact the data still exists on your drive, until it's overwritten by other data - it's only the pointers to the files that are deleted.

If you've defragged your drives, however, or, like me, you make regular use of a "bleaching" utility that cleans and multiply overwrites file slack space and empty hard drive space, you won't be able to recover the previously deleted files.
