Hello. Im a bit confused on trying to fit my movie onto a DVD 4gig.
All I have done is recorded my footage onto a DVD in my DVD Recorder. It is 1hr 55mins long and when played it reads at about 4000kbps. I imported the disc into VideoStudio 10 and click on Create Disc. I have made sure that "Do Not Convert compliant MPEG files" is selected, but the bar at the bottom goes over 4gb up to 6! Does anyone know why when a DVD imported into VS10 increases in size when you try and create a disc? Nothing has been added no menus etc. Any ideas?

There are two "opportunities" for re-coding-
Do Not Convert... prevents re-coding during the DVD creation process.
Smart Render will re-code only where required (i.e. for transitions) during the editing step. (I think the Smart Render check box is in the Save options window... But, I'll let you look that up in your User manual.
Note that Smart Render can sometimes cause (or contribute to) "lip sync" problems. If you get that problem, you'll have to go back to "dumb render"
