I'm pretty sure I have a large majority of that and I swear I didn't buy it.

Am I the only one or were those templates included in some program?
Maybe I got them with a previous version of VS version or DVDMF?
This my understanding of it.
I have been proven wrong on several occasions in my life. It's not going to improve.

I must agree with Daniel. I don't know where I had them from but it looks like I have all of those already.

This is a cynical attempt by Ulead to try and make money off users by offering for sale content that was already included in previous versions of VS at an exorbitant price (almost half what the program costs!). For shame! :x

I'm not sure how far back these menu templates span, I do know that I found several of them that are included with VS8, & 9, and DVD MF4 DC. I think that this is targeted for those new purchasors of Ulead's programs. People that do not have several versions. But if you calculate the cost of the templates, against the cost of the program, then the program must only cost $60 at most for a Full, not upgrade version. Then if you purchase the upgrade, it actually only cost around $10. (Now that's using the creative marketing B.S. to justify it) :)

My point is that this is content that Ulead has already produced and amortized within the development costs of previous versions. It costs Ulead nothing to provide it free as a goodwill gesture to new AND old users of VS. To try and rape ANY users for $40 for this content is abhorrent. And trying to pass it off as "new" content is specious, at best. :x

I never did get the contents of the "corrupted file" after downloading my purchase... Now it looks like they are offering it for sale at an additional price. hmmm.... were they in transition of this offer so therefore the non usable content file?

Also when I purchased for download there was no option to purchase a hard copy on CD... so I'm still stuck with no content...

No you're not. They've just made it easy for you to give them another $40 to get it.

There is also a DVD Menu pack where I at least recognize some.
This my understanding of it.

DaisyK,

I too got a corrupted file of extra contents. I contacted support and they gave me a different download site where I was able to get a good file. It took several hours to download, however. The "bonus" pack -- well, that's a different issue. I never got a good file and am waiting to hear back from support.

Now, I see they are having a sale on VS10+ and just a few days after I purchased it at retail. Bummer!

How did you contact Support? I tried numerous times and they never did answer my inquiries...

DaisyK,

I used their web-based support. You must be a registered user and here is how you get to their form:

Ulead Home Page > Support > Customer Service > Technical questions . . . > Free Web-based Technical Support > Ulead Technical support form. Fill out the form and submit question. I got an e-mail response in about 24 hours. Good luck.

Here's a little offering.
Its a Smartscene menu that has 5 links.
http://www.mediamax.com/sjj1805/Links/7525FDD3EA

There you will find two files.
smartscene05.zip for a 4.3 version
smartscene05w.zip for a 16.9 version

Video/Studio 10+ users need to unzip it to:
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 10\Content\Menu Template\16x9\One Scene Button

MovieFactory 5 users need to unzip it to:
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 Plus\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5\Content\Menu Template\16x9\One Scene Button

Change 16x9 to 4x3 if your using the 4.3 version.
