no sound importing dvds

personaly I dont know why they have the import dvd feature because I have yet to find a dvd that after I import it you can hear sound. the only way i can import and hear sound is to rip it 1st which defeats the purpose.

Perhaps the dvd's you are importimg have ac3 audio. Movie Factory 3 Disk Creater supports ac3 audio but the standard edition does not.

Which version are you using?

'Kay. I've got a followup question.

Looking at the specs on the Ulead site, can you edit videos with just MF3 Disk Creator? Or do you still need VideoStudio 8 to go with it?

Right now I have MF2 SE and VS7 SE. To edit videos through MF2, it redirects me to VS7 first. Just wondering how the newer versions work.

I had that problem initially cos I had AC3 sound (PAL users usually do). I found this problem with almost every single DVD making program. Ulead and Roxio were the only two programs of about 8 that I had tried that had workarounds for it.
Get the full latest DMF, or at the very least v2.5 (I think) and don't use the trial version either.

Yes, all you need is MF3. Although if using PAL format then after you edit using MF3, be warned you might strike some sync woes.
