Source file error

Post by Joel »

Recently I was trying to create a slide show with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3 SE, which I must say is a great progam. The problem I am having is everything sets up right, however right before it goes to burn the disk the program tells me there is a problem with the source file. I thought there might be a problem with the picture format (.jpg) or the audio file format (.wma, MP3), but I see this program uses these formats. I uninstalled and reloaded the program, did the entire project over and tried several blank disk and still I am at my wits ends.

Please help
thank you

Hi,

Your post is related with DVD MovieFactory so I moved your post to MovieFactory forum.

The most common issue of Source File error in DVDMF (or other Ulead programs) is from audio files. In DVDMF 3 and 4 some MP3 files will cause this error. The Update Pack 2 for DVDMF 4 in http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/dmf_ftp_40.htm is for this issue, however it's not for DVDMF 3.

I would suggest to convert MP3 / WMA to WAVE files first before you use them in Ulead programs to eliminate some audio compatibility issues.

Some corruptions in the source files might also cause the error.

Hope this helps.
