burning complete but says disc error on screen

Post by archivistscott »

I have v9 on a Toshiba Sattelite laptop, xp home.

I have looked at manuals and forums related to this subject throughly and cannot get this right. I do everything I have been told.

I create the project save/create vsp then render thensave as a mpeg. Go into new project, create disc import the mpeg, click on " do not convert compliant mpeg..." as it says to do in FAQ of this forum. The disc days sucessfully created, then do to dvd players ( i have tried three different ones) and it still says " disc error after trying to read tha data.

Why is this process so hard and why cannot any of the manuals on this site and others give a detailed process for completed the project. CAN ANYONE help?

What are your capture, project and burn properties?

Are the discs you are using compatible with the players you have tried them in? You can check here.

Does the DVD play in your PC?

Have you tried burning to a DVD folder and playing it with something like PowerDVD or Nero?

I can play the dvd on a computer dvd player but not the standard dvd players attached to a tv. Does this mean I have to adjust the burning speed?
