I successfully burned a dvd, but the audio from my video clips is missing! Does anyone know why this could be happening?? Please help! I have spent so many hours on this project!

You may be using ac dolby sound.
Quote from Brian Cee
(Version 8 on it's own will NOT decode or encode AC-3 Dolby Digital sound,
if you wish to do both you must also purchase a Dolby Digital plug in from Ulead)

In that case, you probably would not be using AC-3 audio unless somehow or other the digital camera through which you were transferring the analogue signal converted the original audio into AC-3. You could check by right clicking on the captured file and selecting 'Properties'. If you do that in Video Studio, it should tell you what type of audio you have captured.
But tell me something, after you capture your video and it is on your computer, can you hear any audio at all when you play the file either in Video Studio (as a preview) or in any other program?
Knowing something about your computer specifications and how the digital camera was connected to the computer (Firewire or USB) would also be useful.

When I right-click and look at the video properties, it says it is MPEG audio. I can hear the audio in every program. I can also hear the audio when I watch the finished project in the preview. I just can't figure out why there is no audio after the dvd is burned.
The camera was connected by firewire.
My computer is a Pentium 4, 2.40 GHz, 512 MB RAM. My dvd burner is a Ben-Q 1620.
Any other ideas for what is happening?

After you burn the dvd does it play in your dvd rom drive or did you just try it in your stand alone player? MPEG audio is a standard for PAL dvd players, not NTSC (U.S.). So if you're in the U.S. it probably won't play in your dvd player. If that is the case you will have to change the audio to LPCM or purchase the AC-3 plug-in.
