I even went to the extend to ignore this post initially because I didn't take the question serious. It would have never ocured to me to put a vsp project in the library.

I also agree with the last advice given, MSP8, indeed, allows for nesting of project files on the time line.

Returning to the original problem, try getting hold of a small (free) utility called FixVTS:

http://download.videohelp.com/FixVTS/

Copy the DVD to your hard drive, drag a (any!) .VOB file to FixVTS, press FullDVD and in a couple of minutes the job is done.

You should now be able to import the DVD into VS.

This has fixed the problem for me; let us know if this works for you.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a shot.

So, sounds like you have experienced similar problems. Have you taken on a similar process, i.e. sending 8mm to DVD via DV Recorder first?

I have indeed had similar problems, when importing DVDs created on a stand-alone DVD recorder.

I also went down the route of mucking about with VOB files until I stumbled across FixVTS which fixed the problem completely.
