Indicating completion of DVD burn?
Maybe I missed it it but is there no way to have MF5 announce it has completed a burn? Either by beeping or opening the drawer? All it seems to do is open a small dialog box when done.
I have a few other burning programs and they all either beep or open the drawer or both when done or have the option to do so in preferences.
If this is not offered it should be and maybe Ulead can get this into the next update for MF5.

No reason why we shouldn't have a wish list. Every so often I have contact with a Ulead employee or software engineer regarding new versions. It is always handy if I can point them to a thread such as this.
Please keep any suggestions sensible - plus this is not a place to complain about what YOU may consider to be bugs or faults. Those items should be placed in a new thread or tagged onto an exisiting one dealing with that same issue.

DVD menu: allow auto action on a chosen button
A useful feature would be an option to choose an auto action after menu play or time (in seconds), allowing the DVD to play automatically if no menu choice is made.
Currently some of us are adding this behavior to some (not all) of our DVDs with other software (PgcEdit) after "burning" to a folder.

I'm new to MF5 but what I found what I need was a more detailed display of what process is actually happening during the encode/multiplexing operations.
It's very hard to tell the program is actually running and not frozen during avi conversion (specially on slower machines). An option to turn on a display for all the sub options would be great. Even a simple text display saying what the current frame is would be better than waiting 15-20 minutes to see if the progress bar has changed.

Re: MovieFactory Wish List for Future Versions
MovieFactory 5 Plus could permit us to customize an existing template by allowing us to:
Copy and paste the title box and editing it after as it is possible with the original title. We could then place it anywhere on the given template and use it as a split tittle box or anything else for that matter. Then the need of editing the background image with another program would not be necessary.
Not critizing MovieFactory 5 Plus, just want to improve it a bit.

Better text editing functionality, please!
Improved text editing
Couldn't agree more, Pierre! I find the extremely limited text editing functionality of MF5 one of its most frustrating features (or rather, lack of features).
To add to the wish list for MF6 text editing -
1) Left/right justification.
2) Standard Windows text editing shortcuts (selection, cut, copy, paste ...).
3) Variation in formatting within existing title and chapter heading elements (so that, e.g., you could have a large size heading and a smaller sub-heading).
4) Undo levels.

Regional characters support - the only thing that prevents me to be quite happy with MovieFactory.

Now that MovieFactory 6 has been released I am closing this thread and replacing it with a fresh one.
