Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and click on the Processes tab. Is vstudio.exe in that list? If so, highlight it and choose End Process. That should do it. Now try double clicking the icon.
If it is not on that list, can you open it thru Start>Programs?

When i double click on the ulead video studio 9 icon on my desktop,i can see the 3 option: DV to DVD Wizard,Movie Wizard & Videostudio Wizard. But when i try to click on anyone of the icons,it juz give me the problem. It prompt me that ulead video studio has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvinence.

Hi Tribal
My father experienced a similar problem - only it was most of his applications that displayed this behaviour - I believe it was caused by a virus that was contracted by one of his grandchildren (my nephew).
I think he cleared it up by virus scanning and deleting the identified virus - have you checked for virus's?
I am not an expert on the pesky things - I tend to just restore my computers from a backup image if I suspect one of the children have caused a problem on my computers (it doesn't hurt to restore to a "clean" system every now and again
), but you might have to boot and scan from a floppy disk (write protected - but created on a known "clean" system
) to ensure you can properly detect and get rid of the virus (assuming there is one).
If there is no virus and you are still experiencing the problem then do a full system reload i.e. format your hard drive, reload XP and all your application software - take a snapshot of your c: drive using a disk imaging program such as Image for Windows (Shareware) or Norton Ghost - that way you can always restore quickly in case of future problems.

Or should that be "a happy user is the sign of a clean system"?"A clean system is the sign of a happy user"
