Just noticed on Ulead's website, they released an update pack (11/07/2006) for VS10 Plus support for the Canon HV10.

Can we assume that if you don't have a Cannon HV10 then there's no point in running this update. ie. no other fixes/updates

Sony FX1 and FX7

Post by Clark77042 »

Is there going to be an update for the Sony FX7 anytime soon? This is the prosumer camera I want to purchase in the next 3 months.

This is a forum where the members are all customers of Ulead like yourselves, although a small number of Ulead Employees have signed up and do chip in - but on a voluntary basis.

You need to submit a tech request form to Ulead if your having problems that appear to require an update to the program.

What specifically does the patch add, re support for HV10 users?
Is it just capture & record back to tape (and if so, why is it different than other HDV cams eg Sony HC3 etc.)?

Does it retain recording-date timestamp info, for split-by-scene, or is it just more of a driver support patch?
Thanks!

HV10 update patch

Post by melk »

Has anyone actually used this update? I've downloaded it a few times
and I don't seem to see any evidence of it in the Videostudio 10 program.
I still don't see any capability to recognise or write back to the HV10.
Any suggestions?

I've used the Jan 15 update

Post by Down under Videographer »

I loaded the Jan 15 2007 update and used it today. It didn't help me with my problems of not being able to burn to DVD, nor did I notice any other enhancements. I received some advice from Ken Berry about creating a video file first and then starting a new project, inserting the new vido file and burning it. It worked and saved me from making more coasters from DVD-Rs.
