mov files - white noise on render

Post by frantid »

Hello all,

I've read all the previous threads about mov files having bad audio. Symptom is clip plays fine, but render or project preview just give white noise. I've tried:

reloading quicktime - running 7.0
replaced vio file from forum post by Steve
reapplied patch

nothing works please help, do you think QTpro is worth it? I'm guessing there's no Ulead fix for this just workarounds???

I went ahead and bought qt pro. then exported to stereo audio and vs10 works. Seems like vs10+ can't handle the mono, unsigned audio from my digital camera. I'll have to try a video from my cell phone to see how that goes. Sometimes our family experiences memorable moments when we forget the camcorder at home, so I have to make do with sub-par videos.

Glad you got it working...:)

I have a Kodak Easyshare P880, which can record movies in the *.mov format. The software that came with my camera, installed the appropriate codec (MJPEG) that VS was able to use..
