movie factory or video studio application errors

I get these errors and the program needs to shut down. Didnt have these problems at first. Tryed uninstall and reinstall didnt work any help much appreciated.

The instruction at "0x5e04d221" referenced memory at "0x00000001", The memory could not be "read".

Please post your problem with more details listed in http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=8960 so people can know your issue to help. There are too many reasons to cause the memory cannot be read problem....

Also make sure you have installed the latest updates for your Ulead program.

Sence my first post I considerd any changes I made to my system. I realized the errors started just after I installed A Philips SPC 700 Nc/100 PC Camera
Installation CD v2.00. I have removed the program and the problem went away. Any thoughts on how resolve this issue or why the pc camera would effect Movie Factory and Video Studio. Note: the pc camera was not running when errors accured.

Some camera driver might install a codec pack into the system so the camera can capture the video, and the codec pack might cause some video programs to crash.

OK, codec packs, your talking way above my head now. Any thing I can do
to make both programs work or am I sol. And thanks for your quick post on this issue.

The only times I have come accross this error was when I had a faulty memory module installed. Have you checked your RAM memory? You can download a free MemCheck program from the Microsoft web site.

As advised I dowloaded all the updates for Movie Factory ahd Video Studio.
Movie Factory 3.0 SE and Video Studio 8.0 SE. When I tried to install the file
dmf3_patch_dll_e it said itcould not find DVD Movie Factory 3.0 on my system and like wise with uvs_patch_daylight_saving it said could not find Video Studio 8.0 on my system. It did let me install dmf3_patch_e gdiplus_patch and uvs8_patch_se_11in1. I did not install dmf3_patch2_dll_e
as per instructions to install it after the first patch. Am i missing something or do I need to install it differetly. I know their on my system I use them every day.
