VideoStudio 10+ - Editor Freezing

Hi,

I installed the product two days ago and began to use it with no problems. Tonight I launched the editor and after it loads, I noticed that it locks up. The Task Manager says the process is 'Not Responding". I have tried the following attempted fixes to no avail:

• Re-boot the system
  Run the installer and perform a repair
  De-install the product and install again
  Restored the system to a restore point from two days ago

This makes no sense. Has anybody experienced this before?

After some additional observation, I discovered that the 'freezing' was not the program. I clicked on the thumbnails of my video clips and was not getting a response. It turns out that the editor was processing it in the same manner as it does when it is first imported into the library. It was not obvious that this was happening. I'm not sure why each of my videos needed to be re-processed, but I'm happy that's what it was.

You said you done a repair and then uninstall, and install, however did you do a clean uninstall? Directions can be found here:

Are you saying the while launching or loading, VS is processing your video clips? Are you launching VS by clicking on a project file (VSP)? If so try just launching VS by clicking on it's icon. Does it do the same now?
