It would be REAL nice to have MP4 support. PEX 8.6 is absolutely useless if attempting to view MP4 files which we create in VS10 or MS8...

You've got to be kidding on te MP4 support. Just think, mp3, wma, ram, qt and all compressed audio formats cannot be used in slideshows because the programmer won't change the edit to disallow the loading of it.
