Hi HT, I thought the ULead offices were in Hsinchu for some reason, that's all.

I have been using this board on and off several times since the first report of slow performance. I have not noticed any of this and I'm on adsl at work and cable at home.

I am also no longer having problems at 10:10 AM EST. But I am at home now when my previous slowness was experienced at work. :?:

Well for my two cents worth, the Board has not been the same since the hijacking. I thought maybe it was something to do with my setup, but I have since changed to a new and much faster system and I have DSL as well. I am located in New York in case this is a regional problem and not universal. Hope it is resolved soon. It is a painful reminder of my old dial-up days

If that is the case, it must be something in the New York (EST) time zone causing it as well. It takes too long for me to sign on and then the pages come up very slowly. Don't know what the problem is because it is 1 PM here and the same slowness is happening.

I'm using this board in two locations with different connection methods. One is adsl (shared with about 16 other users) and the other is cable, unshared. I have yet to experience anything like is described here. This leads me to the conclusion that the problem must be somewhere along the lines of comunication/routing rather than with the board itself.

That does make sense, however it is odd that this the only one affected. I have in the past experienced slowness of the board, but at the same time, Ulead's main website is also slow. Currently Ulead's website loads normally.

But yes it must be one of the hops between here and Taiwan...

It is Sunday night at 12:38 AM ( or I guess you could say it is Monday morning at 12:38 AM), and the web board is still super slow and I have a 6.0 Mbps dsl connection. It must be something affecting the eastern part of the U.S.
Cheers,

I first reported the slowness when using my computer at work (DSL). Over the weekend I was on this board several times at home (also DSL) and it worked fine. No slowness at all. Now, Monday morning back at work and this board is slow again. Any other website I go to works fine. The slowness is only on this board. Weird. :?
