USB Capture

I am trying to capture DV via USB to Movie maker or VS and have been unsuccessfull. The error message comes up "no video capture devise detected" Any suggestions.

Try capturing via firewire.

No fire wire port

Ok. Is your USB 1 or 2? If it's USB 1 you probably can't do it. Too slow. You may be able to do it with USB 2, but some people still have problems. A firewire card is only about $50 from Staples and can be installed in a snap.

A firewire card is cheap and easy to install.
