Capture Import Greyed Out on DVD-R but not DVD+R Disks

I have tested VS10 on two different computers. On one, I could CAPTURE | IMPORT my movie. Now, on the other machine, the CAPTURE | IMPORT feature is greyed out using the same disk (Actually, I have tried a number of differnt DVD+R disks). Interestingly, I have also tried some DVD-R disks and these can be imported on the new machine.

Anyone got any suggestions.

Old Machine - Windows Media Center XP
New Machine (the one with the problem) - Windows 2000 Professional.

Sounds like a missing codec to me. Can the new PC burner handle both formats, DVD+ and DVD-??

Possibly it is your DVD Burner. Check the manufacturers website for updated firmware.

Firmware is software that sits inside the DVD burner itself and allows it to communicate with your PC. Think of it as you would the BIOS of your PC.
