Your Opinion needed - Is UVS the best???

Post by Screwball »

I must have six different programmes for making DVD movies, I was ordered by a local computer whizkid to dump everything except Nero! I tried Nero and it couldn't do the most basic task of fading backround music in - out! Which to me is a paramount feature. So back to UVS9. (which I still can't burn). Out there is there a better programme than Ulead? Does anyone have opinions?

Is it the best? Probably not. Does it have problems? Sure. Do the others have problems? Most likely. So to answer you question, it's really just a matter of what works for you, and maybe more importantly, what works on your system. I like VS10+ a lot, but it doesn't do everything I want. Now that I think of it, I love my wife, but she doesn't do everything I want either.

I agree with Jeff. I love VS10+. It seems to be more comprehensive than Easy Media Creator 8 or 9, VideoWave 8, Nero 7 or Pinnacle Studio 10. And VS10+ seems to be more stable of a program. And VS10+ produces excellent results. Are there a few bugs and editing limitations in VS10+, of course there are. No program is free of them. But for a $100 video editing software program, you really can¡¦t beat this program. And for some of its shortcomings, many of us have figured out ¡§workarounds¡¨ within this program to provide the needed functions, tricks and editing applications. Most of these workarounds have already been mentioned in this forum, and I for one, have provided several of them, along with many other forum members.

... (which I still can't burn).
You can't burn DVDs with Video Studio? It's probably a conflict with Nero. Nero In CD may have taken-over your burner.

Is there a better program than VideoStudio?

Yes :D :D

Its name can be found by clicking Here

I must warn you though it is more expensive and a bit more difficult to learn.

You find this funny? Tell me, you're single aren't you?

I love my wife, and I must admit she doesn't even do ANYTHING that VideoStudio does (*). Not to speak about this other program Grumpy Steve hints to.

(*) Not true, sometimes she does provides audio comments or background music. But there's no rubberband volume control.
This my understanding of it.
I have been proven wrong on several occasions in my life. It's not going to improve.

That reminds me about a movie I saw recently called Click. :)

What if we got a Universal Control to control everything....;)

It's very obvious (and lucky for us!) that our wives do not participate on this forum!

I think the latest reply is getting off base now and outside the purpose of this forum. Can we please stick to the established protocols for posting replies? Thanks.
