Photoimpact 12 annoyance
How can a stop Impact 12 from always opening the sidebar when I click on tool ????? I could not find a setting for this. I don't mind seeing the toolbar on the side so I can select it when I need it (like version 10 and 11) but in 12 the annoying popup when I choose a tool was getting to me
thanks alot for any help

What are you calling a sidebar? If you mean the Palettes, like the Easy Palette, Layer Manger, etc..? If so just like closing a Window, click on the X, or go to the Windows menu, Panels, and in the fly-out menu click on each one, or press the shortcuts, which are displayed on the fly-out menu. When they are closed they will stay closed until you choose to open or show them again..

Yes I meant the Easy Palette, Layer Manger to the right... sorry I called it a sidebar since this is not a feature of most image editorsvidoman wrote:What are you calling a sidebar? I will try what you suggest. I hate when I choose to use a brush the easy palette pops out and gets in my way and I have to always close it.... that is annoying

OK, you can do it by simply clicking on a button named Show or hide Tool Settings in the Attribute Toolbar (the button is in the right-most position of the toolbar when you select the Path or Text tool).
Hope this helps.
