problems playing disc that says burning was successfull.

on a Toshiba Satellite Laptop
I create video file then-
I open new project drag vsp file into time line, render.
Then I go into share, Create Disc and Burn. It goes through process, says disc has burned sucessfully, I go to play dvd, player says no disc. Could someone give me a step by step on how this is supposed to be done?
