DVD moviefactory 5 plus dissapearing

Hi,

I have the following problem.
I downloaded a movieclip from the internet.
It has an XVID/AVI format.
Now I want to convert it to a dvd format and burn it on a dvd.
Before it worked without any problem but since a few days the whole application just disapears as soon as I hit the burn button. (sometimes even before).
The whole computer even crashed a couple of times.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Moviefactory but no luck...
Not even with a clean reinstall....
I have all the codecs installed all the windows updates etc...the system is up to date. More than enough diskspace (250 Gig) and memory.

Is there anybody out there who has any idea what is wrong?

You may have been successful before, however I would chaulk that up to luck. According to Ulead Xvid is not a supported input format..
