The Add Chapter button doesn't appear to do anything when I'm editing an MPEG2 clip. I can add chapters to MPEG1 clips without any problems.
Anyone else experience this issue?
Unable to add chapters to an MPEG2 clip. MPEG1 works fine
Sorry, this probably isn't going to help you...
I've used nothing but MPEG-2 files. Most of my DVDs have been made with one long MPEG-2 file (plus a first-play intro). I' have not had problems adding chapters. ...Well at least not since I realized the Add Chapter button is disabled until you advance past the first frame!
Oh... I have had some weird problems (Video preview freezes, Audio problems in preview, Workshop crashing, A/V out-of-sync on DVD) when using edited MPEG-2 files. (Edited with Video Studio.)
If you are having problems advancing the video to the point where you want the chapter, your MPEG is corrupted. My apparently corrupted MPEG-2 files played fine with Windows Media Player, so don't assume they are OK, just because you can play them.
