Chapters Jump Around?

I have 8 chapters for my project. When I view the current chapters in the View/Edit Chapters window, I deleted all chapters, auto-detected chapters, deleted those I did not want and then created the menus using the remaining 8 chapter markers. When I view the chapter selection menus I see the screeens from the 8 chapters properly, when I go to any chapter from 4-8 it starts with the screen from the chapter menu but jumps to a position early in the DVD.

Should I be deleteing all chapter points and setting new chapter points in the View Edit chapters window manually?

Sounds a bit wierd and what you did should have worked.
Try this work around. Write down the time codes of the chapters you want to keep, then do as you suggested yourself and recreate them manually.

That should be fairly quick as you have already noted the timecodes.
