PhotoImpact 12 - HELP!!

Post by Katedg »

Hi,

I've recently bought PhotoImpact12 and really like it - except for two things - not being able to bring the 16:9 DVD menus to Video Studio until the plugin is released (how 'late' is 'late 2006'?), and not being able to print the CD images directly onto the printable CDs I have bought - seriously - who uses labels anymore???

Can anyone shed any light on when the plugin will be released?

And does anyone have any tips on printing directly onto the CDs rather than having to use labels?

This is quite frustrating...!!

Cheers,

Kate

Steve Jones, Moderator of the tutorials forums, determined that the plug-in released for PI-11 will also work for PI-12.

To print on CDs you need printable CDs / DVDs, and a printer that is capable of doing so. I have neither, so I'm not much help there....:(

Thanks for the reply - I've tried the plugin you mentioned, but it doesn't work for 16:9, only 4:3... :(

I've got the printer and the DVDs to print on, but the word from Ulead Tech people is that Ulead Videostudio does not have the option of printing directly onto printable DVDs...

Any other ideas :?:

Your printer should have the necessary driver to print onto printable CD/DVD disc's. VS is a video editor program and as such not equipped to print anything to any media.

Yes you're right I just checked - the plug in doesn't accept dimensions other than 4.3 but.... all is not lost. You will have to do it the hard way and do it all manually. The procedure is outlined in the tutorial

Wow
Just downloaded it and it accepts 16x9 as well as 4x3
but best of all it enables you to create your own Smart Scene Menus.
I think I will be having some fun with this one
