VS 8.0 upgrade from VS 7.0 - Missing Titles

Post by jmourich »

I apologize in advance if the answer is listed
some place here…but I can’t find it.

I owned VideoStudio 7.0 with all the upgrades
and patches.

Then upgraded to 8.0. Added all the patches
and packages listed on the support page.
Help/About VS = 8.01.1000

Question : VideoStudio had “MANY” good
titles (and some that I added). But the Upgrade
8.0 with patches only has one title. Can I import the 7.0
titles or is there some download I am missing?

Thanks in advance!

after you open up VS8, click on the "Title" tab. This will open up to show a screen. Double Click on the screen. The left side of your monitor display will show lots of options for your title. One option toward the left top is the Text type and font size. Also you can choose a single title or multiple titles. Toward the middle left side is a box to click on for several options of animation, such as flying, rolling, etc.

Toward the left bottom you have options of text border and text backdrops.

From the old forum:

"If you installed the upgrade VS8, you still have VS7. You can insert media files to your time line by browsing and selecting titles from VS7."

and:

The simple answer is that, yes, there are about a dozen sample titles. The following is from Ulead -- it gives the site where you can download them and instructions for their installation. You must follow the instructions exactly. Personally speaking, though, it seems an awful lot of trouble to go to in order to get titles which you could easily do yourself. Anyway, here it is:

"Text Title
(1) Download the zip file from ftp site.
English: ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub/ESD/videostudio ... itle_e.zip

(2) Unzip the file into C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 8.0\Ulead.dat file folder.

Note: Step 3 must be done before you launch VideoStudio 8 main program.
If you have ever launched VideoStudio 8 before, the next step (step 3) is necessary to follow; otherwise, you may ignore it.

(3) Unzip the same file again into C:\Documents and Settings\*UserName*\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\8.0 to replace original files. (Application Data folder is a hidden folder, so please make sure you can view all hidden files and folders in your system.)"
