Problem capturing DV footage from my Digital Camcorder

Post by bta »

Hi,

I have a basic question and hope you can guide me. I am using Ulead Movie Factory 2 trial and using the Capture Video button on the main screen to first download the footage from my camcorder to the computer and then create a DVD of it using menus/chapter etc.

The problem is that the first time I did this, I could download the entire cassette from the camcorder (about 1 hr footage) to the computer without any problem. Now for the second cassette, the download is only happening for about 10 min footage at a time. it seems Ulead is not processing after 10 min of footage. Therefore to finish the cassette in the camcorder, I have to repeat the process many times. Also, the some of the download is jittery.

I have checked disk space and still have about (13 GBs) in the drive I am creating the download files. SO it does not seem to be a disk space problem.

Can someone tell me what is wrong and how to do a downlaod from the camcorder to the computer properly using Ulead? thank you very much

Make sure you haven't changed any of the settings. You can capture using time or using manual stopping and starting. If you have the time set to 10 min, it will stop at 10 minutes. Check the clock at the top of the window.
