Searched other postings but didn't see anything with my problem.

Have a New Sony VCR hooked to my Canopus ADVC 100 RCA audio and video in. Output is via Firewire to my Texas Instruments Firewire 1394 card on a powerful PC running XP SP2. Running VS9.

After recording I can see square blocks when played and overall it doesn't look good. Are there settings that I should configure for better incoming capture?

I've tried other tapes and they all seem to be this way.

For final output to be played on a website is WMV 320 x 240 (30 fps) the best? Also, is there ANY way to disable SAVE AS when people play it in a browser??
