Audio problem when previewing Project

I'm trialling Video Studio 10 with a view to purchase. I have three video clips which, when previewed independently, produce OK audio. However, when previewed together as a Project the result is noise (not quite "white") which pulsates to what I assume is the originating audio.

Is this a feature of the trial version.

No it is not a feature of the trial version - what is the sound on the suspect clips - for instance what source are they from - perhaps you could tell us a bit more about all of the clips - like where they came from and the audio properties.

Thanks for getting back to me.
They are in fact three Quicktime Movie files (.MOV) from my Nikon Coolpix 8800, a still camera; I chose them for the test because they were each less than 60secs. I've now tried some older and larger AVI files and they work OK.

That leaves the question: How do I deal with the MOV files?
