I'm using the VS 10+ and I would like to create an easy mpge1 at 640x480. I do it with no problem. but once I try to see on OTHER pc the windows media player can't read this files. some pc state 80040218 error.
mpegnow is the only codec available for mpeg compression? what can I set to avoid this problem?

I think you got the same problem I asked about on Oct 3rd, as your media player error is the same.
If you go the the mpeg properties page (at least, under win2k), you should find the Ulead mpeg Splitter as a required codec (which is -of course- missing on other machienes).
The suggested solution (please look at the forum discussion) was to install the VS10-SP1. Anyway, I don't know if this really works out, because was trying a test version, and in such a case the patch does not work for sure.
