im a new user and am in need of some help please!!!!
ok,,,im trying to create a dvd disc..the video files im adding are in MOV format recorded by a kodak cx7330 digital camera. it takes video as well as still shots. for instance, when i add a video that is only 11megabites and only 53 seconds long ulead is showing that it is 1hour and 17 minutes long........so odviously i cant deal with that because im trying to put together several videos ive taken from trips around the country. and when i try to turn down the original audio of the MOV file it literally fills up the dvd space barr comletely....can anyone tell me what i need to do please???????? help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I think the CODEC used in the QuickTime movie file is the problem. This usually happens when the QuickTime movie file is from an digital camera. To convert it to use another CODEC or to another file format before you add it into Ulead might be required.

I had the same problem and checked with Kodak - they advised that I could use a third party product to convert the file to a different format - not very helpful. I ended up downloading a product ( freeware) called RADtools and used it to convert from .MOV to .AVI. Worked OK on most files but some reported a very low frame rate (0.08 frames per second!!). After much nashing of teeth if found that RADtools allows you to specify the frame rate for conversion - all OK. Some loss in quality but with the small format clips what the heck.
I also found that cinelerra also worked well with the original .MOV files under linux. I had problems rendering the result as linux does not have the licienced CODECs. Worked well under that OS though - bit more fiddeling required.
