Animated Objects suddenly stoped working

Post by rop23797 »

I read through many posts at DVDWS 2 but cannot find an explanation
that fits to my problem, then I decided to post it.

I usually used animated objects as buttons in the menus, without any
trouble ! :D

Since yesterday I noticed that all of those objects does not move at all
anymore...and worst, there is a black background behind them !!!

If I remove the attribute "Motion Button" the background becomes transparent again ( as it should be) but not animated of course.

Even old projects that I had working OK (in the past week) now got
this "disease"

Starting a new project gets to the same problem !

I already uninstalled and reinstalled DVDWS2 with updates until v2.232
but,... the problem remains.
Any hint how to solve this ?

Truly odd. Did you change your video driver or Direct X version or something? May want to just try the latest video driver, regardless.

Dear pauley,

Yes I already double checked everything you suggested, but,...

no success

Unless someone finds me a solution I'm about to reinstall my PC
from scratch !!!

Thank you for your attention

Is the lack of animation just on the preview screen or on the completed DVD?

Try burning a small project to a hard drive folder and viewing it with
PowerDVD, Nero Showtime, Ulead DVD Player 2.0 or similar.

This kind of problem usually happens after some driver update for the display card, or installed some window skin tools in Windows XP. Have you done those recently?

Hello Friends,

Sorry to take so long to reply.
I have followed Steve's idea.

Although I was not able to see the animated objects in DVDWS2
(they were frozen with a black background) I burned the project .

BINGO
In the final DVD everything was OK !!

Although, annoying, it is a solution by now.

As per H.T. suggestion I didn't installed any update driver to my VGA,
neither any skins.
I remember to update DIVX to v. 6, but cannot exactly get a time connection with the problem.
Some bug is around and the only way to check is to
install XP from origin. :(

Anyway tks a lot for your kind interest and ideas.

I will come back when I install everything from scratch and let you know
if the BUG is gone.

Meanwhille one sentence comes to my mind... ... ...

WE WANT DVDWS 3 !!!!

or 5 or 6 whatever...this is a SUPERIOR DVD auth program that needs
a lot of improvement urgently.
