Hi all,
I'm new to the forum but have been reading through some of the previous posts. I'm having the following problem:
Captured video from a dv cam through firewire.
Edited in Adobe Premiere, exported a DV AVI
Re-imported avi into AP to fix an audio issue, re-exported file as DV AVI
file is approx. 15 GB
Imported file into WS2, made titles/menus, Exported to dvd.
Dvd looks fine on computer but horrible flicker / strobe on any form of motion on the dvd when played through my ps2. (only dvd player that I have that plays DVD-R's heh).
Export the same video using Nero without the menus and video looks fine on the tv.
For settings, both in AP and WS they are set to:
NTSC
Lower Field first
In WS2 have tried both 6k and 8k video data rate, and both constant and variable.
Audio format is AC-3
What could possibly wrong? Unless it's that I rendered the file from AP twice, but fixing that would be quite troublesome I think..
=[
Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope..
-Jim.
Flickery video, not related to fields?
Try creating your MPEG-2 file with Adobe or Nero. (Use a DVD compatible bitrate and resolution.)
Then, in Workshop, un-check the box in the Edit-Video window that says says Convert To Disc Template. Now, your video should be un-touched by Ulead. (The audio can still be converted to AC3.)
Your video probably isn't getting rendered twice in Adobe. It's probably smart enough to leave the video alone when you edit the audio. And, even if it is re-rendering, you don't get much quality loss when you re-render DV. This is more of a concern with more-compressed files like MPEG or DivX.
And, your 6k - 8k sample rates are plenty high enough too...
