Transparent video in overlay track

Post by alanball »

Hi all,

I know this is a big ask for VS being shuch a low price editing package but:

Does anyone know if it is possible to have a transparent video in the overlay track such that the overlay track is fitted to full screen and the video in the main track is seen through the video in the overlay track?

I have video of Flamenco dancers taken in Spain on my last hoilday trip and thought if I could have a duplicated video of the main track in the overlay track and have that video running a couple of frames behind the main track while being able to see the main track as well I could get quite a good effect.

Any suggestions on how this may be done?

Regards

Oops, thanks Steve, I was at work when I did the post and didn't have access to a manual, I had forgotten that transparency was hidden on the mask & chroma key panel. It always amazes me just what you can do with VS.

Thanks again
