After certain chapters it just returns to menu screen

Ive been trying to make a dvd with various video clips. The dvd comes out ok however sometimes the dvd won't play all the way through. Say after chapter 3 video clip insted of going to chapter 4 it will insted return to the main menu, :cry. I can still play chapter 4 manually from the menu, it just want continuously play from chapter 3 to 4.

I am using mpeg 2 - 720-480.
Are the files corrupted or is it something else? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Also i can't seen to rewind from the current chapter to the previous chapter. (it only starts at the beginning of the current chapter) I can skip back no problem i cant just rewind.

It sounds like you have added separate video files at the create menu stage and use each one as a chapter (really, they are called titles). Is that correct, or do you have one video file with different chapter points?

Rainet,

BlackLab is right, it looks like you have two video files (titles) one with two chapter points inside, giving you chapters 1, 2 and 3, and then a second file (title) that you consider chapter 4.

If that's your case then you continuously play chapters 1 to 3 because a DVD doesn't stop after a chapter, but when you authored the disks (in the Create Disc burning step, last screen) you specified Back to menu on the Options (bottom of the dialog that you open with the cogwheel).

You need to select Continue to next clip if you want to proceed to your chapter 4
