SmartSaver Pro 3.0 as Plugin to PhotoImpact 11

I have a PhotoImpact 8 license on one PC and a PhotoImpact 11 license on another.

On the PC with PI 8, when I install SmartSaver Pro 3.0, it appears as plugin, in the Web menu.

On the PC with PI 11, when I install SmartSaver Pro 3.0, I get prompted during install for compatible programs, and the install finds PI-11. However, SmartSaver Pro does not appear in any menu on any workspace profile.

Q: Anyone have any ideas how to plug SmartSaver Pro into PI-11?

This was a nice feature in PI-8, if you selected Web - SmartSaver Pro, the currently active image document would open directly in SmartSaver Pro.

If you tell PI11 the correct location of SmartSaver, it will appear in the menu EFFECT and not in the menu WEB anymore.

I use SmartSaver in PI11 as well as in PI12.

I'm installing new hard drives in that PC at the moment. But I'll give that a try and a look-see when I ready to install all my Ulead software again.

Okay, how did you tell PhotoImpact the correct path?

The only thing I've seen is when I install Smart Saver Pro, it finds the PhotoImpact\Plugin folder, which was correct.

But I cannot find anything in the Effects or Web menus and nothing jumps out at to tell PI where SmartSaver Pro is located.

Within PI press the F6 key and you will find a submenu called PlugIn. There you can define up to 10 plugin folders. After restarting PI you will find the SmartSaverPro entry under EFFECTS.

Okay, it is working now. I had already tried (unsuccessfully so I thought) to add the SmartSaver Pro plugin folder to the list in Preferences before my last post, but it didn't work for me. However, it was listed in the Effects menu when I went and looked for it this time. I think I just needed to restart PI after making the Preferences change.
