I'm using PhotoImpact 11.
I would like clarification or confirmation on things that are (or should be) stored inside of an exported workspace profile.
Q-1: Am I correct in understanding that a profile stores all of the: Preferences, customized toolbars, menus, and the screen layout for the various panels? (Please indicate if anything should be excluded or included,)
Q-2: Am I correct in understanding that each profile stores its own version of each toolbar (that is, which buttons/menu items appear on it)?
Q-3: Am I correct in understanding that a profile may be exported to a Customized Workspace Profile (.xum) file which can then be backed up and used to either configure PI the same way on another PC, another Windows user account, or used for disaster recovery?
Q-4: If the answer to any of the above is "No", then which file(s) would one need to backup in order to copy all the customized toolbars and menus to a new PC (or the same PC for disaster recovery)?
Please do not tell me: "just use Files and Settings Transfer Wizard." I want to know which PI files I can back up.
Q-5: I've noticed the default Basic profile has a nice blue toolbar and menu color that is much easier on the eyes than the gray-white gradient all the other default profiles use (which is much too bright for me to stare at for hours on end). If I save a profile based upon Basic, I've noticed the blue color is maintained in the new profile. Is there any way to specify a color for a profile? It would go a long way toward being able to notice at-a-glance which profile was being used. It would also help reduce eye strain.
