File/Library Management?

Post by JeffKovy »

I'm new to VideoStudio (using the trial version of 10 right now). The "Help file cannot be found" so I was glad to find this forum. Anyway, my question: Is there some document that address file management and library management basics?

I have captured clips from a few different soccer games and successfully stored the AVI files in seperate folders by game. However, when the project is opened, I just see all of the clips together under the Video Library. I figured out that I can create my own "Sub Libraries" within the Video one but it's not clear how or if I can now move the thumbnail samples into the appropriate Sub Libraries for better organization. I was hoping for a drag and drop ability but haven't found it.

Can anyone help? Or, is this not an appropriate mindset at all?

Hi
Welcome to the forum

If you have managed to sort out the library and create new pages.

Use Copy and Paste to move your files from one page to another

Use Shift + Click to select multiple files

If the clips are in the timeline simply drag them to the appropriate library

Use the folder option to insert from your hard drive.

Hi

Also

When you capture to Video Studio, create a new video sub-library.
With this in view, capture your video, your thumbnails will be inserted there.

The trial version does not come with the Help file. You can view the User's Manual here. Page 39 has info about the Library Manager.
