Problem with vob import

I am having a problem with importing VOB files from dvd. There are three vob files on dvd. vob_1 imported and plays only over left quadrant of video. It is mpeg2 with attributes of 24bits 352x240. vob_2 plays normally. It is mpeg2, Upper field first. with attributes of 24 bits , 720x480, 4:3. I have not tried vob_3 yet. (All info from right clicking and selecting properties for each vob file). I imported both files from the same DVD which plays both files correctly. I am using trial version of UL Video Studio to edit high school football video to cut out commercials, put in titles etc. Any help or suggestions of appropriate software to accomplish this would be appreciated.
