Plextor PX-TV402u capturing

Post by mikey3552000 »

So far I have been unable to get my Plextor px-tv402u to work with Ulead. When I try to capture, it locks up then shuts MovieFactory 3 down. I really like the software, but it will not work with my capturing device..Has anyone got theirs to work, and if so, could you help me.
Thanks.

Use the software that came with the device.

My Hauppauge card, which also has a hardware MPEG encoder doesn't work with Ulead either.

You should use the software that came with the device for capture. Use Movie Factory for editing & burning.

I typically use 3 different programs for capturing, editing, and DVD authoring. Then there's more software for scanning or making labels & artwork, editing audio, etc!

Or you can contact Plextor to ask them for updated driver.

Hope this helps.

I did contact Plextor and they said it was Ulead's problem, they supply software and Plextor supplies the hardware..Basically I got the runaround from both. No need to upgrade to Ulead's new version since it don't work either..Bad thing is I like Ulead's software much better, but since it don't work, I won't be using it much anymore. If Ulead comes out with a fix, then I'll use it.

I think you can report your problem to Ulead Tech Support.

H.T.[/quote]You can report it; however, don't hold your breath for an answer - they have been unrespnsive (other than the automated reply).
