I want to add a slide show which i converted to avi with msp7, the original 55 minute movie and the 12 minute slide show (made with msp7) plays great seperately. When I convert to dvd and burn (with mf2) the first movie plays great but the second (slide show) is really grainy. I tried trial version of mf5 but same problem.
Settings:
1. Computer:
amd athlon 64X2 2.4ghz 2g ram
xp2002 sp2
2. msp7 settings
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
Overlay track(s):4
Microsoft AVI files
24 Bits, 720 x 480, 4:3, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
DV Video Encoder -- type 2
Interleave audio for every 1 frames
PCM, 48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo
mf2 or 5 settings
MPEG files
24 Bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
(DVD-NTSC)
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps)
LPCM Audio, 48 KHz, Stereo
Thank you
movie of slide show is grainy- which setting am i missing?
You didn't explicitly mention the resolution or AVI type of the slide show (unless it is also NTSC DV AVI, 720x480, like the movie).
If the slide show is different, first try rendering a DV AVI of the slide show (like the movie).
When you make a DV AVI out of stills in MSP, make sure to right click each still and adjust the frame type, changing it from field- to frame-based, and enable the flicker reduction checkbox.
Also enable the color filter (in your case NTSC) in the MSP edit preferences.
Unless of course you're having a different problem... then ignore the above
