Tool settings Panel

I have received the following PM Message

I have created a rectangle in PI 12 and want to set the roundness in the tool panel but everything is greyed out. How to I make the tool settings active?

Firstly I have placed an Announcement on the forum regarding these private emails which unfortunately are now becoming too frequent for me to be able to answer each on an individual basis.

Regarding this posters query. This is an example of asking a person who is not best placed to provide an answer to this particular question. My skills lie mainly in the Video Editing Products. I use PhotoImpact mainly where it assists me in Video Production such as the creation of DVD Menus, Cropping and resizing Photographs for slideshows and producing screen shots for my tutorials.

I am sure that a member of this forum will be better placed to answer this particular query.

Well for that user, whom ever they may be here it is..

You can not use the Tool Panel to adjust the roundness on a rectangle with square corners. You will have to use a rounded rectangle..

You can if you use edit, but why bother when there's a round cornered oblong and square????
