I try to edit a photo by applying enhancement effects. When I click "Photo - Light - Enhance Lighting" or "Photo - Color - White Balance/Hue and Saturation" no dialog box pops up. Same with some other enhancements. But, some of them like "color balance" etc works. Dialog box comes up when I click them.
My file is a 24-bit jpg. Is there a standard format for Enhance Lighting etc effects to work??

Hi amarq_4 , welcome to the Forums...
It seems that you have a bad install. You should be getting dialogue boxes on those. If you have the full version (CD), placed the CD in the tray, go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and select Repair. That may be enough to fix it. If not then you will have re-install.
Try doing a complete un-install/re-install. Ulead programs leave a lot of files behind. So just doing a simple add/remove programs from the control panel and then re-installing may not correct some issues. Instructions can be found here : Re-installation of Ulead Products

Thanks for the info...I have one more problem...
I can't download any of the component Designer templates like Banner1, Banner2, Button Bar etc using Smart Download. Even if I download these components from the web site http://www.ulead.com/pi/esd1.htm, the downloaded exe file does not install them as it says Photoimpact is not installed. I dont have such problems with object library etc.
Is there a different fix for this problem or do you think reinstallation should get rid of these problems too?

If you do a complete, full un-install, it should clear it up. However it is possible that you have a corrupt program file too.
When you install PI-11 do you get any errors while installing? Getting errors during an install can mean that the file(s) are corrupt, and no amount of re-installing will correct it. Also I found a couple of years ago, that a bad memory module can prevent programs from running properly or installing correctly.
When installing any programs you should make sure to disable your antivirus, and any spyware applications that run in the background.
There is something diffinately wrong if the component installers can not see your installation of PI..unless you have it installed on a harddrive or partition other then C:\. I'm not sure, because I've never tried installing them to any other drive, but the installers may be coded to only look in the root drive ( C:\) for the program.
Did you purchase the full retail box or an ESD (download) ? You may have to get a replacement.
