I downloaded the trial version of this program 9 days ago and have been working on a project with very few problems. Tonight, as I was using the Multi-Trim Editing feature when I got the message that says "Ulead VideoStudio has encountered a problem and needs to quit." I was then forced to quit the program and I tried to restart it. I got the same message at startup. This happened over and over again and I have not been able to get the program to fully startup.
After doing a reboot, an uninstall/reinstall of the trial version I finally decided to purchase the full version hoping that it would fix the problem. It did not, I'm still having the same problem.
So basically, I've spent $100 and everytime I start the program I get the error that it needs to close and it gives me the option to an send error report, etc.. I've searched the forums and haven't been able to find anything that addresses my situation. The only thing I saw was someone said the reloaded their Java 2 Runtime environment but I'm not sure exactly how to do that.
PLEASE HELP!! I have a major deadline for the video I'm working on and need to get the project back up and running. What can I do to get it working again?
Thanks so much for any help!
Robbie
Nature of the problem - See above
Properties of your source files (format, file size, where did you get it?) - AVI and MPEG captured from my camcorder (Panasonic), various sizes ranging from 54MB to 4MB
What devices are involved and their mode of connection? Panasonic Camcorder (PV-DV852D) connected firewire
Project Settings - Can't look at the settings now because I can't load the problem, but from what I remember it was all default except I changed it from AVI to MPEG
Output format (file, DVD, VCD, SVCD) - DVD
PAL or NTSC - NTSC
Error Codes (if any) - see above, standard Windows message saying that the program needs to close with the option to send error report to microsoft, etc..

Hi Robbie, welcome to the Forums...
First we are going to need some more information. Please view This Thread, it provides a guideline to the specific information needed to help you. Until Admin can get a MOD re-installed for the web boards, you can simply post your system information in your reply.
Try doing a complete un-install/re-install. Ulead programs leave a lot of files behind. So just doing a simple add/remove programs from the control panel and then re-installing may not correct some issues. Instructions can be found here : Re-installation of Ulead Products
