Which is the correct folder for PI11
I'm having problems installing and reinstalling PI11. I let it install in the Windows folder. Now I can't seem to uninstall or reinstall it. I click on the shortcuts and it says 'ucomm32.dll is not accessible'. Yet it is installed but I think it should be all in Program Files not Windows. Am I correct? And why doesn't it work properly or uninstall properly? Thanks
If you are using Windows XP, you could try using the roll-back facility and take your PC back to before you first installed it, if that was recent enough for a suitable go-back point, or to where you reinstalled it if that is more recent and the original installation is too long ago. That will of course take out anything else you have installed since the go-back point you choose, but if it sorts out the problem it is well worth it. You can always reinstall any programs affected. You should back up any recent personal files you don't want to lose to a CD before you do the roll-back.
It should not be in Windows, but in Program files, as you thought. If for any reason you can't roll your computer back you could try simply reinstalling it and making sure it goes into Program files this time, but set up a go-back point before you start, just in case anything goes awry. In fact, it is a good idea to set a go-back point immediately before installing anything so that you can go back without losing anything important straightaway if the new program does not run properly.

Hi everyone I should have explained further. I have Windows XP and the system restore doesn't seem to affect it. I'm using AskaExpert.com(or whatever) and downloaded a program to clean the registry,it's still there!
Add/Remove won't get rid of it. I've installed and uninstalled about 6 times. Yet the disc says repeatedly modify, repair, remove. I really want to know should PhotoImpact 11 be installed in the Windows folder? Or should it be in the Programs file folder?
Thanks everyone
