Video won't preview in mutitim edit

I've done this a couple times with no problems but today I started up moviefactory 3 to start a couple of projects and when I went to edit them it plays the audio but no video shows. If I view them in the enhanced video menu it plays just fine but in the main menu or the edit menu it won't. I really can't find a place to adjust any setting on this so I don't know where to start.
