Video content/clips.

Post by BuZZarD »

Hi folks,
I am getting to grips with videostudio and loving it!
However, I generally do music and sound and I aren't much use whebn it comes to animation.

What I'm looking for, are some clips similar to a couple that come with VS9.
The one I like in particular is the one called fastspeed-open.

Does anyone know where I could get similar types of clips to use in intros or know a simple program (as in simple so a complete novice can at least do something interesting with it before alzheimers sets in) that I could use to get simliar effects?

I looked at cool 3d, but it looks more for animating clip art than what I'm looking for. Haven't tried it, so if I'm wrong, let me know (hope I am cos I do prefer the Ulead products :))

For a simple start, I created a tutorial showing how you can create animated backgrounds using just VideoStudio. Creating an Animated Background.

To create something like the Fastspeed Open, you need programs like VideoGraphics Lab (VideoPaint, & CG-Infinity) by Ulead, or Adobe Illustrator . They are vector animation programs. Ulead Cool 3D Production Studio is capable of turning out some real professional vector graphics too. Most all of these have somewhat of a steep learning curve, and cost.

You can also google for vector animations, and probably find dozens of sites either offering software to create them, or animations that can be purchased.

Another note, animations can also be done using Flash authoring tools such as Adobe Macromedia, or SwishMax.

I do have the Ulead programs mentioned. Of them to do what you're looking to do, I would consider Cool3D PS. It's really a powerful program, you just need to think out of the box. With it an Travis Whites Tutorial DVD, Killer Graphics and Lower Thirds you are able to do some neat things.

I checked Ulead's site for the DVD, and their out of stock. However click on the link above and you can get it for way less then Ulead sells it for.
