Hi all. Wow, missed the forums, glad everything is up and running again.
I have a question regarding MSP versions. Does MSP come out with upgraded versions annually in October/November like most NLEs?
I just downloaded it and I'm giving it a try. I like it but wondered about possible newer versions.
thanks,
dcp

MSP generally has a lifetime of 2-2½ years between major versions, their policy being, up to now, free service packs for interim improvements. A long time to go before MSP8 will be replaced!

This timeframe ties in with my observations - and is also why I didn't do the VS9 -> VS10 upgrade. In the same period of time that a MSP version lasts, VS is released a number of times with just enough features to tempt you into each upgrade. But MSP already has it all!
So no need to wait! You get all the goodies in one package.
And the upgrade price to MSP (I got a copy of MSP 7 VE from a computer magazine) evens out to (very) roughly the upgrade prices of all the intermediate VS upgrades combined.... (or that was my calculation
). So why not pay as much in one go and get all the goodies at once?
